"(Dis) Connect"

Does technology connect us, or disconnect us? It connects us when we are looking at a QR code at a gallery, but when people are looking at their cell phones or are plugged into their ipods, we can be disconnected from each other. Discussions around these topics conjured images of jig saw puzzle pieces for me. Do we fit together - or are we separate? Or both?
